오늘은 복잡한 현실의 사물들을 단순한 기하학적 형태로 압축시키는 작업을 해보았다.

1. 라디오

 

• 특징: 버튼이 많다, 벌레 캐릭터처럼 느껴짐, 정신없음
• 문제점: 시각적 노이즈가 많아 핵심 기능이 흐려짐

1. 본질의 발견

복잡한 외형을 제거하고 나면, 그 사물의 진짜 정체성이 드러난다.

라디오 -> 수신호를 받아 소리를 낸다.

세탁기 -> 빨래를 돌려 씻는다. 

 

2. 감정적 변화

• 원본: 기술적, 복잡함, 어른스러움
• 단순화 후: 친근함, 장난감 같음, 귀여움

> 단순화 과정에서 얻는 것들

1. 시각적 휴식
복잡한 정보들이 사라지고 눈이 편안해진다.

시끄럽다가 조용해진 것 같은 편안함, 안정감을 준다.

 

2. 상상력 자극

디테일이 사라진 만큼 보는 사람의 상상력이 개입할 여지가 많아진다.
